Ein Traumrad mit kompletter Campagnolo 50th Anniversary Jubiläumsgruppe Nr.8536

Dieses Colnago Mexico ist ein absolutes Traumrad. Ernesto Colnago schuf 1968 seinen legendären "Super" Rahmen, der damals bahnbrechend für alle späteren Rahmen sämtlicher Rahmenbauer war. Zu dieser Zeit arbeitete Ernesto Colnago eng mit dem ebenfalls sehr "technikaffinen" Eddy Merckx zusammen. Merckx hatte Anfang der Siebziger das Ziel den Stundenweltrekord zu brechen. Er tüftele zusammen mit Colnago an einem extra leichten Rahmen. Colnago hatte gute Verbindungen zur Firma Columbus, die bis heute einen hervorragenden Namen in der Herstellung von "Stahlrohren" für den Rahmenbau hat. Dort ließ er sich den top Rohrsatz "SL" noch einmal "veredeln" um ihn noch leichter zu bekommen. Zusammen mit Merckx Ideen wurde so ein extrem leichter Rahmen auf der Basis des "Super" für den Weltrekord Versuch 1972 in Mexico gebaut. Die Geschichte ist bekannt, Merckx holte den Record, der für viele Jahre Bestand hatte. Ab 1974 ging dann der Mexico in Serie.

Dieses hier vorgestellte Rad ist absolut legendär! Die für den Mexico typischen "gecripten" Rohre in Verbindung mit dem Chrom des Hinterbaus und dem ebenfalls typischen Colnago - Saronni - Rot- mehr geht bei Colnago kaum!

Solch einen, auch für 1983 schon besonderen Rahmen, musste man natürlich mit der Campagnolo Jubiläumsgruppe zum 50. bestehen des Komponentenherstellers aufbauen. Die Gruppe mit den Echtgoldapplikationen bedarf wohl kaum noch Worte. Unter Sammlern ist sie wohl die begehrteste überhaupt. Zur Gruppe gehört auch noch die originale Eigentumskarte und das Schreiben von Campagnolo. Die Teile aus der Gruppe sind in einem sehr schönen Zustand. Nicht neu, das Rad wurde gefahren, aber, wenn man sich die Felgen ansieht, erkennt man die sehr wenigen Kilometer. Die Jubiläumsgruppe ist mit der Nummer 8536 von insgesamt 10000 produzierten versehen. Eine Rohloff Kette, der San Marco Concor Colnago Sattel und das wunderschöne 3ttt Cockpit machen aus diesem ein einmaliges Sammlerstück, ein Kunstwerk, ein legendärer Klassiker für die Wand.

Wer das Rad trotzdem fahren möchte, der bekommt auf einer L'Eroica sicher neidische Blicke. Mehr war zu dieser Zeit kaum möglich.

This Colnago Mexico is an absolute dream bike. Ernesto Colnago created his legendary "Super" frame in 1968, which at that time was groundbreaking for all later frames of all frame builders. At that time, Ernesto Colnago worked closely with Eddy Merckx, who was also very "tech-savvy". At the beginning of the seventies, Merckx had the goal of breaking the hour world record. He worked together with Colnago on an extra-light frame. Colnago had good connections to the Columbus company, which to this day has an excellent name in the production of "steel tubes" for frame construction. There he had the top tube set "SL" "refined" again to make it even lighter. Together with Merckx's ideas, an extremely light frame based on the "Super" was built for the 1972 world record attempt in Mexico. The story is well known, Merckx got the record, which lasted for many years. From 1974 onwards, the Mexico went into series production.

This bike presented here is absolutely legendary! The typical "scripted" tubes of the Mexico in combination with the chrome of the rear triangle and the likewise typical Colnago - Saronni - red - more is hardly possible with Colnago!

Such a special frame, even for 1983, naturally had to be built with the Campagnolo anniversary groupset for the 50th anniversary of the component manufacturer. The group with the real gold applications hardly needs words. Among collectors, it is probably the most sought-after of all. The group also includes the original ownership card and the letter from Campagnolo. The parts from the group are in very nice condition. Not new, the bike has been ridden but, looking at the rims, you can see the very few miles. The anniversary group is numbered 8536 out of a total of 10000 produced. A Rohloff chain, the San Marco Concor Colnago saddle and the beautiful 3ttt cockpit make this a unique collector's item, a work of art, a legendary classic for the wall.

Anyone who still wants to ride the bike is sure to get envious glances on a L'Eroica. More was hardly possible at the time.
